CEO Takeuchi was invited to participate in “2024 Asia Impact Night”, organized by a South Korean impact venture capital, D3 Jubilee Partners (in Jeju, South Korea, 16-18 October 2024). This invitation-only event has marked the fifth time since it was first held in 2016. Over 100 impact investment professionals from Japan, the U.S., and the APEC region (China, Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, and Vietnam) attended the event.

The event discussed the expansion of impact investing in Asia and its role as catalytic capital to provide social and environmental solutions to promote systemic change. CEO Takeuchi served as a panelist for the session “Decarbonating Heavy Industry,” where he, together with other panelists from China and Korea, discussed the challenges and opportunities of decarbonizing heavy industry.

In Japan, the “Impact Consortium” was established by a number of well-known financial professionals in November 2023 to materialize social or environmental impact that fosters business potential. The Consortium serves as a forum to promote a broad range of collaboration among the business community, government, and academic institutions and accelerate joint communications to the target audiences. To materialize the vision, the first event, “Impact Forum,” took place in Tokyo in June 2024. We hope these momentums further spurring impact investment.
