Corporate behaviour is significantly influenced by the conditions and transformations of the external environment. To drive concrete action from companies toward achieving a sustainable, decarbonised society, policy-level support tailored to this external environment is indispensable. Corporate Action Japan engages with policymakers and regulators by incorporating a ‘shareholder’s perspective’. Through these efforts, we help companies maintain their competitiveness while more rapidly advancing their transition to a sustainable society and decarbonisation.
We engage in extensive exchanges of opinions and views with university and think-tank researchers, media representatives, and other stakeholders. Through policy recommendations to government ministries, study sessions for members of the Diet, and contributions as resource persons at international conferences, we work to create an enabling environment where Japanese corporates can more easily advance initiatives toward a sustainable, decarbonised society. Furthermore, to support decarbonisation across the entire supply chain, we focus on developing advocacy activities aimed at generating demand for green products.
