CAJ Hosts Steel Sector CSOs Workshop

CAJ convened a steel sector roundtable featuring civil society organizations (CSOs) in Tokyo, coinciding with the Japan visit of Shiv Kuppuswamy, Development and Innovation Director at ResponsibleSteel. The event was attended by about 20 participants from climate change think-tanks, research organizations, and advocacy groups. The roundtable addressed the challenges and barriers that Japan’s steel industry faces in drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and how CSOs can serve as the drivers of a rapid and just transition to net zero.
